Fine weather for final round of racing at Mallory...
The sun shone all weekend for the last 3 races of the 2011 season and the results were as tight as they have been all year. After an eventful test day suffering from suspension issues, we were saved by the kind loan of a set of forks from fellow racer Ben Wylie to see us through the weekend.
After a disappointing qualifying session, only good enough for row three on the grid, race one went well...

We return to Mallory Park for the final round of the Championship where it all began so well back in March. The recent good run of form, consistently securing points in every race from the last four rounds has secured me 4th place in the Championship overall.

No October heat-wave at Oulton Park!
The penultimate round of the Thundersport GB championship at Oulton Park in Cheshire was, as always an action packed weekend of racing.

Brands Hatch delivers 3 more consistent results as...
With heavy rain forecast and threatening all weekend, the team were prepared for anything and sure enough the heavens opened for qualifying. With a good wet set-up I managed a solid few laps securing 8th place and a second row start for the Superpole race.

Pembrey Podium awaits.....
After a few weeks away from racing due to the cancelled round at Donington Park, the whole team is raring to go this bank holiday weekend as we travel to South Wales for the next Thundersport GB championship installment at Pembrey.

Positive test ahead of next round
With the next round of the championship just 2 weeks away on 16th/17th July, we travelled to Norfolk for a first look at the new Snetterton 300 circuit. An excellent day of sunshine and plenty of track time enabled me to work on some gearing and settings, learn the new extended 3 mile circuit and regain some confidence.
After a few weeks break the whole team is ready to get back to winning ways.
Up's and Down's at Cadwell Park
At a circuit we have visited several times over the last few years, I was confident for a good weekend of racing. Going out for qualifying I set a fast lap early on in the session for the rest of the pack to chase. As 4 riders began to challenge for the lead I struggled with some mechanical issues and could not better my earlier lap time, pushing me back into 5th position on the grid.

King of the Mountain
Time for a trip to Lincolnshire for the next round of the Thundersport GB championships.
May 28th-30th
Testing Saturday, Qualifying and Superpole Sunday and 2 races on Monday.
Time to get the championship challenge back on track.
Windy, wet and a weekend to forget!
We had dry conditions for qualifying at the 3rd round of the championship at Anglesey and all seemed to be going to plan with a solid third place on the grid secured.
The first real wet race of the season was to follow with the superpole race on Saturday afternoon with championship points up for grabs as well as a keeping or upgrading your spot on the front row for Sunday’s races.

Royal Racing Round!
The Thundersport GB championships travel to Anglesey in two weeks time,the home of the future King and Queen. The newly wed couple William and Catherine probably won’t be there, but from what we’ve seen so far i’m sure the racing will be entertainment enough!

The strong start to the 2011 championship campaign continued at Doningotn Park with more close racing and some great results.
Technical issues from Friday’s test session were soon forgotten as qualifying began on the national circuit at Donington Park. 2nd place on the grid was secured with lap times between the top 4 separated by very little.

Good form continues on the World stage...
With over 50,000 spectators throughout the weekend, the second round of the World Superbike Championships at Donington Park was by far the biggest stage the GTE-Hornsey Racing team has competed on so far!
The weekend started well with a strong qualifying session putting the bright orange machine amongst the quickest on track in 3rd place.

Next weekend we travel to Donington Park for an amazing opportunity to race amongst some of the best riders in the world. The World Superbikes come to the UK for the second round of their championship on Friday 25th - Sunday 27th March.
Along with Thundersport GB superstock competitors we will also be competing against several British Superstock riders in two support races on Saturday and Sunday....

Round 1 - Mallory Park - Job done!
The eagerly anticipated start to the 2011 season finally took place last weekend at Mallory Park in Leicestershire.

Even a wet weekend at Cadwell Park, some more damp conditions at Donington and miserable weather at Mallory could not dampen spirits ahead of the first Championship round next weekend.

2011 Kicks off in the wind and rain!
After what seems like a long cold winter ( I guess that’s the season though!) we finally were able to dust off the leathers, fire up the engine and get some laps done at local favourite circuit Oulton Park.

2011 change of class with Thundersport GB
After a tricky season with engine and gearbox reliability issues in 2010, we move swiftly on into the new year with a slight change of class in the Thundersport GB series.

Donington Park Grand Finale
The final round of the Thundersport GB 2010 season and the circuit we’ve all been waiting for. Donington Park is the first circuit I ever turned wheels on and will always remain my favorite for racing. Testing went well with the bike feeling at it’s best.

Brands Hatch Bank Holiday Success
Still running the spare standard engine and with confidence high following the last round at Cadwell park, the long trip down to Brands Hatch proved to be successful 3 days.

Great weather for Big Rideout
Thanks to all those who made the trip over to the Station inn at Marshbrook on Sunday.
over 35 bikes rode out into Wales and back again on a fun rideout in some welcome sunshine.
Money was also raised for the county air ambulance.

Back on form at Cadwell Park
Last weekend the Thundersport GB championship travelled north returning for the second time the year to the Lincolnshire circuit of Cadwell Park.
With a standard engine in to replace the troubled supersport gearbox, qualifying went ok with the bike performing reasonably well. 11th on the grid left me a lot to do in the superpole race but with 14 laps in dry conditions I set about progressing...

Local circuit for next Thundersport championship...
The Cheshire Circuit of Oulton Park plays host to the next round of the Thundersport GB Championship.
As one of my favorite circuits on the UK calendar, I am eagerly awaiting the prospect of turning my championship around. Hopefully we have seen the last of the gearbox gremlins and I can repeat the performance from Snetterton that showed I have the pace to compete with the front runners.

Hopeful for continued good form this Bank Holiday
This weekend we travel north to the Lincolnshire Circuit of Cadwell Park. Home to ‘The Mountain’ a short steep part of the track where many bikes become intentionally airborne racing off into the tight woodland section.

Ready to go for Round 2
After the disappointment at Mallory Park in round 1 of the championship, the bike has undergone an engine re-fresh and repairs to the gear box ready for round 2.
Although 4 weeks away, I’m sure the team and supporters are as keen to get back on track as I am, looking forward to the trip to Norfolk to take on the super fast circuit at Snetterton.
In the meantime…… only 7 days...

Disappointment at round one of 2010 Chamionship
Not quite the start we were hoping for to the 2010 championship, as the race team suffered technical problems over the weekend at Mallory Park.
Saturday’s qualifying times were quicker than last year and a steady 12th position was enough to give a reasonable position on the grid with less than 0.5 secs between 12th and 3rd.
